Pennsylvania Business Owner Tells Dave McCormick: “You’re Not Welcome Back”

This past weekend, Dave McCormick strolled into a Philadelphia restaurant, eager for photo-ops to cosplay as a Pennsylvanian and inflate his ego on the campaign trail. The only problem was the Pennsylvania restaurant had no idea he was coming. You see, instead of being upfront about this campaign event, a local GOP operative duped the restaurant owner by claiming the event would actually be an ‘autism event.’ Once the restaurant owner realized a McCormick campaign event was taking place, he firmly told him, ‘You’re not welcome back.’

But that’s not the end of McCormick’s embarrassing politicking.

After leaving the restaurant he’s now banned from, McCormick again tried his luck at a nearby Baptist church, where a fundraiser for their food ministry was underway. Rev. Thomas Edwards Jr., the church’s leader, wasted no time telling McCormick’s campaign to leave and prohibited him from using any photos of the congregation in his campaign. Per the Reverend, he didn’t trust McCormick not to use these photographs in duplicitous ways to promote his campaign.

“Pennsylvanians want nothing to do with Dave McCormick, as we saw firsthand this weekend,” said SMP spokesperson Von Walker. “Voters are quickly distancing themselves from his phony campaign because they know he’s only out for himself.”
