Senate Majority PAC Commits $20 Million to Defend Georgia Senate Seat

Today, Senate Majority PAC announced an initial $20 million television reservation in Georgia to support Jon Ossoff against his eventual Republican opponent.

This investment ensures voters will hear directly about how Georgia Republicans backed Donald Trump’s tariffs and supported stripping millions from Medicaid – even as it hurt families and working individuals. The reservations will be backed by a significant digital investment and will begin this fall.

Georgia Republicans are locked in a bitter, drawn-out primary, with each of the three candidates, Buddy Carter, Mike Collins, and Derek Dooley, adopting increasingly extreme policies to claw out a primary win. With a runoff likely, Ossoff and Senate Majority PAC will have the opportunity to define what’s at stake with this race while the Republicans are still engaged in a three-ring circus.

“It doesn’t matter which Republican wins their primary – Carter, Collins, and Dooley are all the same: Trump loyalists who’ve never put Georgia first a day in their lives,” said Senate Majority PAC Spokesperson Lauren French. “Jon Ossoff does. He’s focused on expanding care for veterans and lowering costs for families crushed by this economy, and come November, voters will re-elect him to Congress.”

In addition to Georgia, SMP has also announced a $46.4 million television investment in Ohio, a $33.4 million investment in Maine, a $31.4 million investment in North Carolina, a $20 million investment in Michigan, a $13.4 million investment in Iowa, and a $10.6 million investment in Alaska.

The Senate race in Georgia has become increasingly competitive, with polls finding Ossoff holding a steady edge over all three.
