New WinSenate Ad Spotlights Troy Jackson Supporting Mainers While Susan Collins Supports Trump

Today, WinSenate launched a new television and digital ad comparing Troy Jackson’s record of expanding health care access in Maine to Susan Collins’ support of Donald Trump in passing the largest cuts to Medicaid in history.

Jackson fought to expand Mainers’ access to health care by lowering costs and increasing insurance coverage for thousands of Mainers while serving in the state Senate.

Collins has done the opposite, serving as a rubber stamp for Trump and supporting Republican efforts to pass the One Big, Beautiful Bill, which made drastic cuts to rural health care programs and Medicaid. Collins also backed legislation that raised premiums for Mainers by an average of $886 and allowed for the expiration of the popular ACA subsidies that made insurance coverage affordable for thousands of working families. Collins has voted with Trump more than 90% of the time, more than any other president she has served under.

“[Troy Jackson] expanded Medicaid health coverage in Maine. Susan Collins was the deciding vote for Trump’s Medicaid cuts, kicking tens of thousands of Mainers off health coverage,” the narrator says in the 30-second ad. “Troy Jackson does what’s best for Maine. Susan Collins does what’s best for Trump.”

The ad will air on television stations throughout the state as well as on digital streaming platforms.
