WinSenate Hits John E. Sununu For Extensive History of Profiting From Higher Prices in New Hampshire

Today, WinSenate released a new ad campaign hitting John E. Sununu for cashing in as a corporate lobbyist while Granite Staters are crushed by a cost-of-living crisis.

When voters kicked Sununu out of office nearly twenty years ago, he didn’t go back home to New Hampshire. Instead, Sununu took a job at Akin Gump, one of the largest lobbying firms in the world, making a generous salary using the connections he formed while serving as senator.

Now Sununu boasts a stock portfolio valued at up to $2 million, invested across multiple industries he’s also taken thousands of dollars in campaign donations from.

“After we fired John Sununu, he spent the last 15 years cashing in. He went straight to work for one of the biggest lobbying firms in the country. He helped Big Pharma and Big Oil make billions, while we pay the price in higher prescriptions and higher gas,” a group of New Hampshirites says in the 30-second ad. “And now those same special interests are pouring millions into the comeback campaign. That’s John Sununu. He sold us out before. He’ll sell us out again.”
