New Ad: While Mainers Get Squeezed by Costs, Susan Collins Keeps Getting Richer

WinSenate today released a $2.5 million ad campaign across Maine spotlighting Larry, a Leeds voter who has supported Susan Collins in the past but refuses to continue, as she raises costs for Mainers while increasing her own personal wealth.

Larry has voted for Collins in every election but says he won’t this time after Collins recklessly backed Trump’s war in Iran. Since the war started in February, gas prices have soared, hurting Maine small businesses, loggers, and families. While Mainers pay for Collins’s loyalty to Trump, Collins profits from stock trading and had repeatedly opposed banning it for lawmakers.

“Susan voted for Trump’s war in Iran five times, driving up our gas prices,” Larry says in the ad. “[Meanwhile] Susan Collins is off getting rich from stock trading. She increased her wealth over $10 million. Susan Collins is making us pay more while she’s off getting rich.”

The ad will air across Maine on television, digital, and streaming.
