Communications Director

Senate Majority PAC (SMP) is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual to serve as Communications Director for the 2026 election cycle. This is a wide-ranging job that encompasses both legacy media outreach as well as working to cultivate new media such as You Tube, influencers, online journalists, and others. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop messaging strategy for individual races
• Develop press plans and message guidance
• Create strategic opportunities for outreach to targeted reporters
• Work with the digital team to develop a social media outreach strategy that includes podcasters, influencers, content creators, etc. 
• Oversee media bookings for SMP senior staff
• Manage the communications department

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years experience as a communications director in politics/campaigns
• Verbal, on the record, experience 
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience managing a team of people
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalency from an accredited university or college, preferred but not required

This job is in-person and located in Washington, D.C.  Salary range is $165,000 – $190,000.
