Senate Majority PAC (SMP) is seeking motivated, organized and detail-oriented individuals to serve as Deputy Press Secretary for the 2024 election cycle.


  • Draft statements, press releases, and briefing memos as needed.
  • Pitch stories to state outlets
  • Build press lists and manage a press database of national and state reporters.
  • Assist with media monitoring on a daily basis.


  • Candidates should have at least 1 year of communications experience or at least one cycle of experience on a political campaign.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to write, proofread, and fact-check with precision on deadline.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and work non-traditional hours when needed.

SMP offers competitive salary and benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience. The position is in-person and located in Washington, D.C. Candidates who are unable to relocate will not be considered. Salary range – $60,000 – $70,000 depending on experience.
