Senate Majority PAC (SMP) is seeking a motivated, organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as executive assistant to the president.  SMP is solely dedicated to protecting the Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate.


  • Manage the day-to-day administrative affairs of the president. Schedule all appointments and other commitments, coordinating the president’s dynamic and complex schedule.
  • Organize conference calls and meetings amongst large groups, juggling many busy calendars.
  • Review the president’s correspondence and communications, often confidential; flag communications requiring the president’s attention or identify the appropriate person at SMP to respond on behalf of the president;
  • Screen incoming calls to the president, determine nature of the call and whether or not it requires the attention of the president.
  • Make and review all travel arrangements for the president.
  • Track and report on agreed action items to ensure completion.
  • Coordinate with SMP staffers to prepare presentations and materials for the president.
  • Assist the COO as requested, such as performing various office administrative duties.


  • Experience as a junior staff member in politics, advocacy and/or policy;
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented;
  • Excellent research and writing skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to write, proofread and fact-check with precision on deadline;
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proficient with PowerPoint and other applications;
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college OR 1-2 years of work experience.

SMP offers competitive salary and a high-quality benefits package. Salary range is $55,000 – $60,000 commensurate with experience. The position is in-person and located in Washington, D.C. Candidates who are unable to relocate will not be considered.
