SMP Launches New TV Ad Calling Out Republicans’ “Disgraceful” Attacks on Cheri Beasley

New spot sets the record straight on Cheri Beasley’s tenure on the bench, highlights her commitment to keeping NC communities safe

Washington, D.C. – Today, Senate Majority PAC launched a $1.3 million TV ad campaign in North Carolina calling out the NRSC’s false attack ad against Cheri Beasley and highlighting her commitment to protecting communities across the state, as first reported by Axios Raleigh.

The new spot, titled “Law Above Politics,” blasts Republicans’ misleading attacks on Beasley and sets the record straight on her nearly two decades of public service.

“Since extremist Ted Budd has virtually no accomplishments to run on, his right-wing allies are launching negative attacks against Judge Cheri Beasley to mislead voters and distract from his terrible record,” said JB Poersch, President of Senate Majority PAC. “This false NRSC attack ad is a disgraceful attempt to hide the truth: Judge Beasley has spent nearly two decades in public service upholding the rule of law and keeping North Carolina communities safe—and that’s exactly what she’ll continue to do in the Senate.”

The seven-figure ad campaign will begin reaching voters in the Charlotte and Raleigh markets on Monday.
