New Ad: Abdul El-Sayed Fights to Lower Health Care Costs. Mike Rogers Got Rich Raising Them.

WinSenate’s released today a $2.4 million ad campaign featuring retired Michigan teacher Laura contrasting Mike Rogers, a 30-year political veteran who’s taken money from Big Pharma, with Abdul El-Sayed, a doctor fighting to lower health care costs.

Rogers has accepted more than $1 million from major pharmaceutical and medical product companies since he came into office. He did so while also voting repeatedly to block legislation on affordable prescriptions including for children with life-threatening conditions, first-responders affected by 9/11, and for Medicare to negotiate on behalf of patients.

El-Sayed has fought to lower prescription drugs and has sworn against taking money from the same health care corporations that have bankrolled Rogers for decades.

“Rogers voted 19 times to keep drug prices high, and we’re paying for it,” Laura says in the spot. “Then there’s Abdul El-Sayed…He’ll take on the health care lobbyists and finally lower health care costs for us.”

“Works For” will be shown on air across Michigan, as well as digital platforms and streaming.
