New Ad: Ashley Hinson Got Cash. Iowans Got the Bill.
WinSenate today launched a $3 million ad campaign exposing how Ashley Hinson took drug industry money and then voted against lowering prescription drug costs for Iowans.
When Congress had the chance to let Medicare negotiate lower drug prices, cap insulin at $35 a month for people on Medicare, and limit yearly out-of-pocket prescription costs to $2,000, Hinson voted no. While she did, her campaign was collecting $163,529 from donors linked to drug companies, including $26,000 from pharmaceutical company PACs.
“[Ashley Hinson] voted against allowing Medicare to negotiate lower prices and she voted against capping the cost of insulin,” the ad’s narrator says. “Ashley Hinson got paid by them, and then she turned on us. She sold us out before and she’ll sell us out again.”
