New Ad: Every Time It Matters, Susan Collins Sides With Trump. Maine Families Are Paying for It.

Today, WinSenate released a new ad featuring Lisa, a registered nurse, detailing the health care crisis facing Maine, with struggling hospitals and patients who can’t afford coverage, all due to a senator who keeps choosing Donald Trump over families.

Susan Collins voted to advance Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, which made the largest cut to Medicaid in the program’s history and put thousands of Mainers’ coverage at risk. Rural Maine hospitals and clinics are already facing paused federal funding. Collins then proceeded to vote to protect those cuts 7 more times.

Then Collins voted against tax credits meant to keep insurance affordable. More than 8,500 Mainers have since dropped their coverage, and those who held on will see premiums rise another 14.8% on average next year.

“Our hospitals are closing and people can’t afford their health care because of Susan Collins and Donald Trump,” Lisa says in the ad. “Susan Collins was the deciding vote for Trump’s Medicaid cuts, then voted 7 more times to keep the cuts…she [also] voted with Trump to double health insurance premiums. Every time it matters, Susan Collins sides with Trump, and our families are suffering.”

The $2.4 million ad campaign will air across Maine on broadcast, digital, and streaming.
