NEW AD: SMP Highlights Adam Laxalt’s Anti-Abortion Agenda

Washington, D.C. –  Today, Senate Majority PAC is launching a new seven-figure ad campaign highlighting Adam Laxalt’s extreme anti-abortion agenda. The spot, titled “Unsafe,” reminds voters of Laxalt’s career-long crusade to take away a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions.

According to the Pew Research Center, Nevada is one of the most pro-choice states in the country. Additionally, recent polling shows that an overwhelming majority of Nevadans describe themselves as ‘pro-choice’ and “9 in 10 Nevadans believe abortion should be legal in some way, shape or form.”

“It’s no surprise that Adam Laxalt is hiding from his out-of-step record on abortion—Nevadans are overwhelmingly pro-choice, but Laxalt has spent his career crusading to take away their personal freedoms and is on on tape saying he’ll work to make Nevada a pro-life state,” said spokesperson Veronica Yoo. “Adam Laxalt has proven time and again that he wants to make Nevadans less free and less safe, and that’s why they’ll reject his extreme anti-abortion agenda in November.”

The ad will reach voters in the Las Vegas market beginning Wednesday as part of Senate Majority PAC’s previously announced $27 million television reservation in Nevada.
