NEW AD: Susan Collins Says She Works for Maine. Her Record Says She Works for Trump.

WinSenate today launched a $2 million ad campaign across Maine featuring Wanda, a Mercer voter who once backed Susan Collins but can no longer support the five-term senator.

For Wanda, the breaking point was Collins casting the decisive vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh, who then helped overturn Roe v. Wade. Collins still says shedoesn’t regret that vote. The Kavanaugh vote is part of a broader pattern: Collins sells herself as Maine’s independent voice, but she voted with Donald Trump 95% of the time.

“[When Susan Collins] was the deciding vote for Trump’s Supreme Court Justices who overturned Roe v. Wade, I was totally, totally done,” Wanda says in the ad. “She lied to us. …Every time it matters, Susan Collins sides with Trump. Medicaid cuts, doubling health insurance premiums, every time. I won’t vote for Susan this time.”

The ad will air across Maine on television, digital, and streaming.
