Today, Senate Majority PAC released a new TV ad in Pennsylvania reminding voters that Dave McCormick is a Connecticut hedge fund CEO who’s willing to sell Pennsylvanians a bill of goods, while selling them out behind their backs.
The ad highlights how McCormick shipped jobs overseas for his own financial benefit that he’s now using to buy Pennsylvania’s Senate seat – even while he spent his nights in a Connecticut mansion. A perfect example of this egregious behavior is when he said “he was going to ‘live on the bus,’ until November” and then, “flew back to Connecticut later that evening.”
McCormick’s entire career can be characterized by him doing whatever it takes to line his own pockets, even if it makes life harder for hardworking families. The multi-millionaire hedge fund manager has already been accused of abusing a Pennsylvania property tax break meant for farmers, shorting well-known Pennsylvania companies, mismanaging pension funds of public school teachers, investing in a company that is the largest producer of synthetic opioids in China, and outsourcing Pennsylvania jobs.
“If Dave McCormick would not even spend a full night’s sleep in Pennsylvania, how can voters trust he’s really looking out for them? The short answer: he’s not and they don’t,” said SMP Spokesperson Hannah Menchhoff.
