New WinSenate Ad Slams Mike Rogers for Supporting Endless War in Iran

Today, WinSenate released a $4.5 million ad campaign hitting Mike Rogers for his unfettered support of Donald Trump’s war in Iran.

Since the Iran War more than 100 days ago, Michiganders have been forced to confront a crushing rise in prices, currently some of the highest on record, along with job losses in the farming and automotive industries critical to the state’s economy. Eighteen U.S. service members have also tragically been killed, with dozens more injured, since the beginning of the war.

Callously, Mike Rogers, the Republican candidate for Senate, has only doubled down on his support, claiming that Americans are “gonna be fine.”

“The endless war in Iran is costing us all. Billions for bombs, brutal at our gas pumps, and Mike Rogers, a cheerleader for Trump’s war. Rogers claimed it would end quickly, but we keep paying the price,” the narrator says in the 30-second ad. “Our tax dollars wasted, 18 American soldiers killed, hundreds wounded. Gas prices? Nearly $5 a gallon. And Michigan families are holding the bag.”

Rogers, who served in Congress from 2001 to 2015, is an avid champion of military conflict. He unapologetically supported the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, praised the use of torture, and has consistently been among the most vocal proponents of U.S. government surveillance.  Rogers has also taken millions during the course of his political career from the military-industrial complex.

The ad will air on television stations throughout the state as well as on digital streaming platforms.
