Senate Majority PAC Statement on Frank LaRose’s Senate Campaign

Today Frank LaRose became the third candidate to enter Ohio’s Senate Republican primary that is already shaping up to be an expensive, long-lasting, and hyper-combative race.

Already in the primary, Matt Dolan has contributed $4 million to his own campaign, while Bernie Moreno continues to profit off of a non-endorsement from President Donald Trump.

LaRose’s entry not only expands the primary field but also ensures that abortion will be a major issue in the race. As a reminder, LaRose flatly declared that the upcoming Prop 1 election in Ohio is “100%” about stopping efforts to protect a woman’s right to choose. With that election coming soon, LaRose has set a standard Moreno and Dolan will rush to meet in their toxic race to the fringes.

“Frank LaRose’s Senate candidacy enflames what was already set to be a costly and brutally long Republican primary,” said Senate Majority PAC Spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer. “As LaRose joins Moreno and Dolan battling each other to the right on issues like abortion, Ohioans get a front row view of how out of touch this entire field is and why Senator Sherrod Brown is the only person who will deliver results for hardworking families.”
