Senate Majority PAC Press Secretary Christyna Thompson released the following statement after Michele Morrow announced she’s entering the U.S. Senate race in North Carolina:

“The GOP headache just got a lot worse. National Republicans, who already have their hands full dealing with a string of election losses and under-performing candidates, must now contend with another contentious primary after Michele Morrow announced her intention to challenge Donald Trump’s golden boy, Michael Whatley.

“What is sure to be a messy, expensive primary now features MAGA die-hard Don Brown, consummate D.C. insider Whatley, and far-right extremist Morrow who has openly called for the execution of Presidents Obama and Biden. And whoever emerges from this battle royale will be sent limping into the general election.”
