SMP Statement on Georgia Senate Results

Washington, D.C. – Senate Majority PAC (SMP) President JB Poersch released the following statement on Georgia’s U.S. Senate election results:

“Reverend Warnock’s strong performance is proof of the enthusiasm behind his campaign and his ability to build a broad, deep coalition of support across the state as he advances to the runoff election. Meanwhile, Herschel Walker has demonstrated time and again how out of touch and ill-prepared he is to represent Georgia. Walker’s poor showing in an environment favorable to him indicates a striking lack of momentum and underscores that voters can’t look past his well-documented pattern of violence against women, lies, and disturbing conduct.”

“The choice facing Georgians could not be clearer. Even Walker’s fellow Republicans have said he is unfit to serve — and these results are evidence that many, many voters agree. The runoff campaign will only confirm what Georgians already know: Herschel Walker has no business representing them in the Senate.”
